Take a moment to consider the journey of energy that conspires for a beautiful piece of wood work to come into existence.

It begins with an acorn or seed of some type often getting buried by an industrious and forgetful squirrel. Then just the right amount of moisture and temperature allows for germination. A tiny hopeful tree sprouts. Years, even decades pass with the hope that it grows stronger and more resilient to ever changing weather seasons.

When the tree falls, it gets milled into a new form - ripe for creativity. Some of the time, a person like me gets the privilege of transferring some creative energy into this material. The result is something new that can live on in a new form for generations.
